About Alia Asia

Operators who stay accountable.

Based in Malaysia and experienced across Southeast Asia, we assemble the local people and operating capability each mandate requires—and remain accountable for the outcome.

Founder-led responsibility

Built by people who have done the work themselves.

Alia Asia was built by operators who have launched, taken over, restructured and run businesses themselves. That experience changes the questions we ask and the responsibility we are prepared to take.

Founder & Lead Operator

Sandeep Grewal

Sandeep has spent more than a decade building and operating hospitality, property, technology and F&B businesses across Southeast Asia. His work includes scaling a fragmented hospitality platform to 417 units across more than 13 locations, taking over and relaunching hotel operations, completing difficult property transactions and building new businesses from concept to handover. At Alia Asia, he remains directly involved in structuring the mandate, assembling the team and keeping delivery moving.

Co-Founder & Operating Partner

Aravind Sinniah

Aravind co-founded SubHome with Sandeep and helped build a multi-location hospitality operating model from individually owned assets. At Alia Asia, he brings that operator’s perspective to the practical work of building teams, systems and reliable local delivery.
